In this short article I would like to focus on the meaning of the word "honor". I don^t know if you agree with me but I believe that back in the days this word has been more important than it is now. People really cared whether they are perceived as someone who has an honor or not. Today I don^t think that you can hear about it very often. Maybe I am wrong, though, so let me know what do you think about it. As a matter of fact what does it mean to be a man of honor in your understanding? I think that a person with honor is always treating people with respect and is trying to live his life according to some rules. Recently my friend was in trouble and some people say that he lost his honor by asking his friends for help. Let me tell you this story. A friend of mine needed to buy a cot bed for his son. It was really important for him and his wife. There was a problem with that, though as they didn^t have enough money. That is why they have decided to ask us, their friends, for help in raising the money for this cot bed. Due to this fact a lot of people that knew him told him that he has no honor whatsoever. In their opinion a father should do everything in order to raise the money for his son and he shouldn^t ask for the help of other people. Tell me, what do you think about it?
